VFX Production Coordinator

We are looking for a Production Coordinator to join our team in Tampere, Finland. This position supports the VFX Producers and VFX Supervisors in keeping projects operating in an organized and efficient manner. Coordinators are information sharepoints that hold teams together while being able to balance multiple needs, projects and tasks at one time.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists VFX Producers, Supervisors, and Artists to ensure every project is handled efficiently and effectively while maintaining company standards.
  • Communicates information between departments quickly and efficiently, while maintaining a positive attitude and professional approach.
  • Pays close attention to details and is thorough in handling project related deliveries.
  • Oversees trafficking-data movement for projects, ensuring data is accurate and up to date.
  • Assists Producers in artists’ work progress, ensuring that all deadlines are met.
  • Anticipates challenges while communicating concerns to VFX Producers and Supervisors.
  • Takes detailed and comprehensive review/meeting notes and distributes and/or uploads into Shotgun database in a timely fashion.

Senior Compositor

We are looking for experienced compositors with feature film and/or high end commercials experience to work on several high profile projects. We are looking for people who preferably are available within the next months.

Requirements:

  • Be able to take on shots from start to completion to the highest level of quality and have a good eye for photorealism compositing.
  • Able to carry out all compositing tasks on a shot such as Rig Removal, Cleanup, Keying, tracking, CG Multi-pass Compositing etc.
  • Work in a fast paced environment and meet deliverables met by Supervisor and Production.
  • Willing to learn as well as share and be a pro-active team player.
  • Proven track record of working in Feature Films or Commercials.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering final shots that are creatively and technically excellent, address all notes on schedule.
  • Communicates with other departments, particularly Lighting to ensure comps are up to date.
  • Work in partnership with Compositing Supervisor to improve and enhance template scripts and show wide compositing tools.

Lighting Artist

We are looking for a Lighting Artist to join our team in Tampere, Finland to light and render out CG elements for feature films.

Requirements:

  • Experience (3+ years) in Maya and V-ray/Arnold
  • An understanding of compositing techniques in Nuke 
  • Light / look develop for integration of CG elements
  • Prior experience as lighter for feature films
  • Familiar with animation pipelines, render processes, and composition
  • Works well with short deadlines and fast turnarounds (able to adapt to changing deadlines)
  • Having worked with or have an understanding of Shotgun Software is a plus

 

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with other departments to collect assets and shots forward
  • Ability to break down your shots to layers 
  • Optimize your render set-ups for efficient render farm usage and to improve the quality of results
  • Ability to create lighting / render layer setups to be used by other artists

Look Dev Artist

We are seeking a Look Dev Artist to join our team in Tampere, Finland to finalize assets on upcoming feature films.

Requirements:

  • Experience (3+ years) in Maya
  • Familiarity with Nuke, Photoshop, Substance Painter / Mari
  • Prior experience creating photo-real elements for feature film
  • Experience in shading, texturing and rendering with V-ray/ Maya, especially hard surface models
  • Familiar with animation pipelines, render processes, and composition
  • Works well with short deadlines and fast turnarounds (able to adapt to changing deadlines)
  • Having worked with or have an understanding of Shotgun Software is a plus

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with modeling / texturing artists to finalize assets (if needed)
  • Create a photorealistic look for assets that match the practical versions under the direction of VFX Supervisor 
  • Work closely with Lighting TD’s and supervisors to ensure that all assets work within the scope of lighting & comp pipeline requirements.

Texture Artist

We are looking for a Texture Artist to join our team in Tampere, Finland to create photo-realistic textures of real-life subjects. We look for accomplished artists to work as part of our resourceful creative team on high-profile feature films.

Responsibilities:

  • Sr Texture Artist to work closely with the assets, shading and lighting artists
  • With an emphasis on the aesthetics and techniques of photo-realistic effects, the Texture Artist will be responsible for creating photo-real texture and relevant maps
  • Develop and manage textures for production pipeline
  • Manage quality of 3D models and textures for production use in high and low res format
  • Work in partnership with look development and lighting artists to ensure shots are delivered to the very highest standard
  • Help establish suitable working techniques for the members of your team and work in conjunction with the production team (VFX Supervisor, CG supervisor, coordinators, producer) to establish schedules and technical requirements
  • Experience in lighting and rendering 3D objects and assets

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5+ years VFX experience working on feature films and/or television series
  • Strong artistic skills required
  • Mid to Senior level experience using Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter/Designer, Z-Brush, Photoshop, or similar software
  • Senior level experience with Maya texturing methodologies
  • Experienced layout/texture artist
  • Experienced photo realistic painter/sculptor
  • Proven 3D modeling skills in hard surface subjects
  • Ability to accurately evaluate scope and time requirements
  • Effective team player, you enjoy collaborations and mentoring others
  • A traditional arts background, keen eye and emphasis on photo-realistic work and real-life subject matter
  • Working knowledge of rendering and lighting
  • A strong understanding of real world materials is essential and must be demonstrated in the work on your reel

 

 


 

Lead Compositor

We are looking for a Lead Compositor to join our team in Tampere, Finland and work with us on multiple high-profile projects. In addition to leading a comp team you will work closely with Visual Effects Supervisors and CG Supervisors to composite the numerous elements that complete visual-effects shots.

Responsibilities:

  • Working in collaboration with the Compositing Supervisor and Visual Effects Supervisor to evaluate the creative and technical approach to assigned shots
  • Giving briefs and direction to the team with the aid of the VFX Supervisors in order to ensure the appropriate execution of shots
  • Training and mentoring of more junior artists
  • Integrating 2D, CG / 3D and live action elements to high-end visual effects film standard
  • Meeting schedules and show deadlines
  • Taking responsibility for the teams’ workload, time management and notes/feedback actions required by Supervisors

 

Requirements:

  • An excellent working knowledge of and production experience with Nuke
  • A familiarity working with multiple render passes
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring a team
  • A pro-active and collaborative work ethic
  • A strong eye for detail, composition, colour and lighting
  • The ability to multitask, prioritise and problem solve
  • An understanding of colour space principles
  • A working knowledge of the overall VFX pipeline

 

 


 

VFX Compositor

We are looking for a VFX Compositor to join our team be responsible for ensuring photoreal integration of all visual effects elements with the live action plate and for ensuring aesthetic consistency across their shots. The Compositor will develop innovative technical solutions to complex compositing integration problems. They must manage complex upstream dependencies particularly from the Lighting Department, often for many shots at the same time.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with Compositing Supervisor to improve and enhance template scripts and show wide compositing tools.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience in compositing. To be a creative problem solver who likes technical challenges and can manage complex systems.
  • To be comfortable with the more technical aspects of CG integration, the colour pipeline, the 2D pipeline and can effectively use 3D solutions to enhance/aid in 2D compositing tasks.
  • Excellent eye for integration issues, can discern subtle changes in lighting, colour, grain, blur, edges.
  • Familiarity with node graphs and knowledge of Python is an advantage.

 

Software Requirements:

  • A full working knowledge of Nuke.
